Hello, my name is Lisa McKinney, office manager and multi-line salesperson for Amatha Farrens. I am one of Amatha’s original team since June of 2010, when her agency opened. Amatha is the third agent I have worked with over the last 18 years. Hillsboro is my hometown and where I raised my two children, whom are now adults. Breanna, my daughter is now a member of our team and made me a grandma in February of this year. My son TJ works for an outdoor camera company, in technical support and promotions. I am happily married to my husband Jeff, and we have four fur-babies. I am very active with my church and serve as the Sunday School Administrator. I also proudly serve on the board of the Highland County Homeless Shelter.
My strengths within my agency role as team member are knowing our long-term customers, asking the hard questions and listening to what is not being said. Our long-term customers help keep our doors open with their loyalty from the years of quality customer service and us being there on some of their hardest days. I am good at developing relationships and I like sitting down with our customers and discussing where they have been, where they are and where they want to be. I have watched babies turn into young drivers, youthful drivers turn into parents and hugged those that have lost their life-partners. These customers lean on us to have the answers, deliver on our promises and to be the voice of reason and advice at both challenging and joyful times in their lives. Upon taking a phone call or payment, customers talk about what is happening with them: moving, new baby, divorce, engagement, parent passing away; those are all pivot points to a deeper conversation. I enjoy sitting and listening to customers tell their story and helping them protect their most important assets, their families.
